We are professional fishermen!
Bringing Fresh from the Sea products to You!
Open Sea Fish Market is the first Cape Verdean-owned fish market in the Boston Area. Cape Verdeans first moved to the United States in the 19th century through whale fishing. The passion for fishing and caring for the community is evident part of the Cape Verdean culture. Today, our professional fishermen bring fresh fish from the ocean direct to you.

Special Thanks to Luis Galicia
- King of Seafoods
Luis Galicia moved to the US in 1999 from Guatemala. He opened the King of Seafoods in 2014 with the goal to distribute “fresh from the sea” products to the diverse community of Boston and surrounding areas. He was quickly welcomed by the Cape Verdeans, Portuguese, and Spanish community. He then started distributing fish at their doors. His business grew to the point that he started distributing wholesale to other states, including CT and NY. Luis Galicia today is a proud partner of the Open Sea Fish Market.
